Want related content to show in sidebar of homepage

    Want related content to show in sidebar of homepage.

    I am using a masonry layout, and have the widget set to show up in the sidebar of the blog and at the bottom of each post.(homepage is set to blog) but it doesn’t show up there, only shows on single posts. When I turn it on to homepage it does show up in the sidebar, but I also get 6 thumbnails for each of the 8 posts that show up there, which is 48 + the 6 in the sidebar. How can I keep the 6 showing up below each post, 6 in my sidebar, but not show them in any of the masonry layouts on the home page?
