Hi, my posts are currently looking like this:

As you can see the images are fairly small and are restricted..

You can set the size of images under "Settings" > "Media" for the thumbnail, medium and large sizes of your images. Your container is 640px wide so if you set the medium or large to be that size and then upload an image that is at least that size you can choose this in your image settings before you insert the image into the post or edit after.
For your click through issue, when you upload an image to a post you'll see a "Link URL" as one of the fields click the "None" button. You can also do this after you've uploaded the image by highlighting over it and clicking the edit icon you see there.

Thank you so much for your help!
I usually add a few images at a time, about 5. I've realised that these settings only apply when I 'insert into post' one photo at a time. Do you know how to make sure that the image 'width' settings occur the same as though they are uploaded as a group?
