Iam a NEWBIE to say the least but I want to learn so Ive been trying to install a program on my computer so I can practice.I installed WampServer successfully until I get to the point where I have to get into PHP admin to create a data base pass word ect. When I attempt to do this I get this error" phpMyAdmin - Error

Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly."I use windows 7 and can barley type php must less understand it.Iam just barley coming to terms with html and css.

I installed Instant WordPress on my computer successfully cloned the themes I have installed but I cant get it to open up in firefox with my addons ie firebug ect.Any help or advice on how to proceed will be greatly appreciated.Bottom line I want to practice using and designing with WordPress can careless what program but I havent been able to get anything to work, Iam stuck.

Thanks for any advice or help!

Last time I experimented with it, the config files for Instant WordPress appeared to automatically assume that IE would be the default browser. If I remember correctly, the 'BrowserPath' parameter specified in the pms_config file would need to be changed to the absolute path to the firefox executable in order to open with Firefox by default.

I can't imagine why that would be necessary. There is no need to have WampServer and Instant WordPress installed at the same time. Remove Instant WordPress. WampServer works quite reliably for local development.

Find yourself an online tutorial for correctly installing WampServer and configuring phpMyAdmin (for WampServer) and you should be fine.
