   I've installed wordpress on a windows/apache/mysql setup on my local machine. Installation went without a hitch. However when trying to log-in I get a "403: forbidden. You do not have permission to access....on this server".

   What's going on?

   I have this exact same problem... just got it all installed, things seemed good to go... then when i try to log in i get the 403 error... what setting did i miss?

   did you set it up as user = root
   pass = ""
