Newbie here. I’m trying to use the Wallpaper style sheet: http://www.alexking.org/software/wordpress/styles/sample.php?wpstyle=wallpaper

I’ve downloaded and unzipped it, but the only files in the zip are:

    images (folder)
    comments.html
    sample.html
    style.css

There are no PHP files in the zip. When I upload the Wallpaper files to WordPress, it understandably says “Template is missing. What do I need to do/upload to make the Wallpaper style sheet work?

Are you using WP 1.2.x or WP 1.5?
    Styles are for 1.2.
    For WP 1.5 use themes!

It is a style sheet; unfortunately there is no available Wallpaper template. However, Alex King
http://www.alexking.org/index.php?content=software/wordpress/styles.php notes that “The styles listed on this page work with the default WordPress 1.2 template and the WordPress Classic theme in WordPress 1.5

I cloned the “Classic template already in WP, then added the Wallpaper files into the clone (replacing the Classic’s style.css with Wallpaper’s). I uploaded this and it “works, but it’s a little freaked out: the Calendar is missing, the fonts in the menu/sidebar section are huge, the Meta links are floating far left when they’re not set that way, etc. See it here at http://featuringdave.com/wordpress/

I wonder, should I be using this Wallpaper template not with Classic 1.5 but with 1.2?

I really like this wallpaper template – primarily its “background.gif. Is there any way for me to incorporate this “background.gif into another template or through some other means in order to maintain the ‘feel’ of Wallpaper?
