W3 Total Cache
W3TC with PageSpeed (2 posts)

Now that mod_pagespeed 1.0 is out, I'd like to know how it interacts with W3TC.

Can I use the 2 together? What settings should I use in each?

At the moment, I have core/default options on in mod_pagespeed and I don't have W3TC.

But ideally I would like to have both because W3TC does something PageSpeed can't (optimize WP) and PageSpeed does something W3TC can't (speed things up for the whole server, not just WP, and a couple of specific things)

There is no issue if you have both, I too have both installed on my server (This is the site (SEOmagz, and works absolutely fine for me, one issue with mod_pagespeed is that, it will suck the RAM memory, if you have enough RAM already then don't worry and use both, or else it is better you use only W3TC, which also works great for SPEED.

Also if you want to know the optimal configuration for W3tc, check out this tutorial for configuring W3TC with shared hosting
