    I just tested hotlink protection that works fine with W3TC. You may want to enable rewrite logging in Apache to see why the rewrites for hotlink protection are not working on your specific site. Please note that in Apache 2.4, the rewrite logging is quite different from Apache 2.2.

    Thanks a lot for your time an reply to my question Pothi. By deactivating the different options in W3TC I found out that actually my CDN service MaxCDN is causing the issue. Now I’m tracking the solution through them.
