W3 Total Cache & qTranslate compatibility (ignore the previous post) (9 posts)

When editing a post, the post's individual cache for the default language gets updated automatically, but the cache for other languages does not. Currently I have to empty all cache or page cache, which is not only inconvenient but also bad for performance.

Is there any solution for this problem? Or I would have a feature request.

(I latter decided to add tag for qtranslate after I posted in w3total-cache. As wordpress.org doesn't allow edit tags, I have to duplicate this post. Sorry for that.)

Am I the only one who faces this problem? Any thoughts?

I have many websites with qTranslate and w3 Total cache but do not have this issue.

Really? I mean when I click "Update" button, the cache (for all languages) should be updated immediately.

Are there any errors in your web server error log?

There is no error in Apache'log. Only the cache for the default language was updated.

    To reproduce the issue:

    1. Create a new post in two languages, let's say the default language is English, and the other is Chinese;
    2. Log out and view the post. The Chinese content is "A", for example.
    3. Edit the post and change the Chinese content from "A" to "B". Update.
    4. Log out and view the post again. The Chinese content is still "A".

    Expected Results:
The Chinese content should be "B" in step 4, meaning the cache for ALL languages should be cleared when I click "Update".

I hope the explanation is clear. And thanks for caring about the question.

Has the author been made aware of the issue?

What did you mean by "the author"?

If you meant the author of "q-translate", this post is tagged "q-translate", but I didn't go to the author's personal website. The same goes to w3tc.

If you meant the "editor" of a post, no, there is no notifications in the admin area.
