W3 Total Cache FTP error (2 posts)

Ever since I updated the plug-in (which I was loving), I see this error message:
"W3 Total Cache Error: Files and directories could not be automatically created to complete the installation."
And these two options for fixing it:
    "Please execute commands manually
or use FTP form to allow W3 Total Cache make it automatically."

When I click on "use FTP form," a white progress bar appears, but then nothing happens after that.

I've triple checked my FTP info, and everything is correct. It worked just fine before the last update.

I have no idea where the files are that I'd need to access to "execute commands manually" because the CSS is all in a child theme a graphic designer made that I can't seem to find a way into.

I'm generally pretty good at figuring this stuff out, but I'm fairly new to it all, so be kind, please.

    Hey DoNotFaint,

Did you ever figure out how to fix this? I have the same problem.

    My web host is Hostgator...
