W3 Total Cache
W3 Total Cache and Google Analytics UTM tags (2 posts)

I'm using W3 Total Cache on my site and its working perfectly except for one thing.

I have pages that are linked to using Google Analytics UTM tags. Unfortunately, due to the structure of the URL tags, it looks like a URL parameter. This causes W3 Total Cache to not use the page cache files and generate the page normally.

Is there a way to have W3 Total Cache ignore utm as a URL parameter and just serve the page from the cache files?

    Example: http://www.techairlines.com/2010/10/22/windows-7-birthday/?utm_source=shorturl&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=twitter
The URL above seems to be generating the page without using page cache at all.

The footer commments says: Page Caching using disk (enhanced) (request URI contains query)

    Thanks.

It's not possible to support query strings with disk enhanced because of how apache works. There's no workaround it's an Apache limitation ultimately.
