• Hi, I just finished my personal / portfolio site featuring a wordpress blog. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
    Thanks,

damn I really need more sleep.

    sorry.

    Wow ! Welcome to WordPress.

Holy cow! Nice site. AND a cat lover! Let me know when you throw your girlfriend out! (Just kidding!)
Yes, a link to WordPress would be nice! What a great design!

    Very, very nice!
Not criricism, just some food for thought– do with it what you will…
Text scales nicely on Opera7.5.1 and the latest versions of the Gecko’s. You may, at some point, want to set the fonts inorder to enable text zoom on IE as well.
IE5.0 kind of does a little number on the right viewport side of your layout– usable, but not what you intended. IE5.5 on the other hand looks pretty good.
IE5.2/Mac, I’m sorry to say, destroys your layout– that’s a tough one.
Personally, I think the text zoom problem for IE is relatively important, and easy to implement with CSS. As far as the other stuff is concerned, that could start another war—
    Keep up the good work.

Sweet! Another animator/artist in the WordPress stable! Nice, bold layout, and I like your artwork, too. I only had time to look at it a little, but I’ll definitely be back for more.

Thanks for all the kind words!
I saw the IE5 rendering error, but couldn’t find an easy fix.
And css hacks feel a bit awkward anyway… I’ll look into it.
    Unfortunately I don’t have a mac (wish I did), so I haven’t tested it
    with any mac browsers.
I’ll also look into the text-zooming for IE. Shouldn’t be too hard to implement.
    Thanks again!

He’s down right now. Back up in a few days I’ve heard.
    Most everything, including IE5.2/Mac
    http://www.browsercam.com/
Expensive though. As I recall, 1hr free trial– 10 bucks an hour thereafter. Forty dollars a month unlimited use. But don’t quote me.

As a matter of interest, roughly what percentage of internet users are on IE for the Mac? How about Safari? I need to decide if it’s worth my while forking out forty bucks a month…

    Forgot:

If you can’t resolve it, post on css-discuss forum (css-discuss .org)
Philippe is a frequent contributor on that list.

Maybe one point five percent of users could be on Safari.

What percentage of internet users are on IE for the Mac? Not many, and dwindling. How about Safari? More, and growing? I support both of them– on principle (but then I don’t have anything better to do). Verizon Wireless and CitiBank support them because they have to. Should you support them– only you can answer that.
Incidentally, Browsercam is too expensive for me too. I took advantage of their free trial hour, then bought a used Mac on EBay for next nothing.
