Hello,
I just had something happen that was inevitable I guess. When you go to edit a page and it starts in the Visual tab, then you switch to the HTML tab the content changes.
Specifically, I have some code at the top of a page that is for an image map with 8 rectangular sections. When I switch from Visual to HTML tab the code for the image map is gone. I have to leave editing the page, go somewhere else in WordPress then go back to that page to start in the HTML tab. When I do this, all HTML code is there.
So, that is one of the problems. Why does the code change when you simply switch to the HTML tab, and, of course, how can I stop this behavior?
The second problem compounds that one. One of our lay-editors did what I described above then autosave saved the bad code and they had no idea how this could have happened since they didn't save the content. WordPress did.
How can I fix (this must be a bug) the problem of the code changing when you click the HTML tab, and how do I disable autosave in a way that will work across versions?
Thanks for the help...
