Visual Text Editor Broken After 3.3.1 Upgrade

    My visual text editor is broken. After the upgrade to 3.3.1, it seems to be stuck in html and I cannot switch between the ‘visual’ and ‘html’ tabs. It’s stuck on the visual tab, but all the text has turned white. Also all my editing icons (including media insert icons) disappeared. I’ve tried disabling all plugins and reactivating them individually to no avail. I’ve also tried downgrading back to 3.2.1 manually via ftp with no luck. Please help! Thanks.

    Try clicking the visual tab and then refresh the page

    battled the issue for a few hours as well…

    turns out, google gears which i have installed does not refresh the scripts when manually updating/refreshing the page!
    (gears is an accelerator toolkit provided by google)

    so in internet explorer, go to tools -> gears settings -> and remove your site from the list! (only if you have gears installed)

    Autsch – having precisely same problem using Firefox. No Google gears or the like installed. Emptied cache and deactivated add-ons, with no success.

    BTW, no problems found when using IE.

    Is this an issue of browser settings, cache, add-ons, …?

    This problem has dissolved overnight – can’t say I solved it.
