I used to have the visual rich editor in my installation of WordPress 2.0. Suddenly it's vanished, for no reason at all as far as I can see. I now have have an HTML editor thing instead of the visual rich editor. What happened?
Under Options, writing, I selected "Users should use the visual rich editor by default." Under Users, your profile, "Use the visual rich editor when writing" is checked. If I'm asking for the visual editor in both these places, shouldn't that work?

I've had the problem with 2.0 and 2.0.1.
I do not get a Visual Rich Text editor using Firefox 1.5 running on MacOS X 10.4.4
did you guys install the WPG2 plugin? I seemed to have lost my TinyMCE after I installed that plugin, but I can't prove it. Deactivating the plugin doesn't bring it back either.

On installing WP 2.0 my Visual Rich Text editor was working just fine. After installing 2.0.1 it no longer displays despite the checking the correct options in both the user and the options/writing locations.
TinyMCE is in place. The exact same installation on my computer works just fine however so I am at a complete loss...
