    Hi there,

I'm using your plugin for some time now, but since i made a update to your plugin, the visual mode shows nothing at all.

    Plugin on: http://www.4shared.com/download/Thog5A_Mba/file_away_on.png?lgfp=3000

    Plugin off: http://www.4shared.com/download/2-6O7fyxce/file_away_off.png?lgfp=3000

I have made a fresh install to wordpress and file away, still nothing.
Also, the "Pagination" option seams to do nothing at all.

LE: It seams that this problem might be from wordpress it self, since i have (re)installed a plugin (http://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-columns/), it gives me the same results, when the plugin is activated the visual mode is gone, when it's off, visual mode is back.

Bump: Never mind. It seams that there is a problem with my (or all) firefox browser. All work fine in Chrome.

Are you updated to WordPress 3.9?

I don't have that problem in Firefox. You might try disabling any and all Firefox add-ons, and see if any of those are the culprit.

Will try that and come with a LE to say the outcome.

Disabled everything, did nothing. The odd thing is that the page (front) looks like it has no stylesheet.
Even tried every known way to refresh the page (CTRL+F5, CTRL+SHIFT+F5, deleted cache..)

Have you tried deactivating all plugins, then reactivating them one at a time?

I don't think that's such a great ideea. Having gone to the very "bone" of firefox showed that something else is wrong, no need to bother with that any more. I'm starting to think that there si something from my windows (has been updated).
By the way, the new update for file away has just excluded your exclude option (it just does nothing).

"By the way, the new update for file away has just excluded your exclude option (it just does nothing)."

Please clarify what you mean by this.

For example, i want to exclude .something files, yet .something files still appear in my list.

I'm going to need more information than you're providing. Screenshots, copy/paste your shortcode to me, something.

    [fileaway type="table" images="none" exclude=".something" align="none" mod="yes" recursive="ohglory" style="silver-bullet" paginate="yes" textalign="left" color="orange" iconcolor="blue"]

whatever you're trying to exclude has to match a portion of the filename exactly, and is case-sensitive. I'm assuming you're not trying to exclude a file with the extension ".something"

All right. I'm seeing the same issue. I'll get back to you.

".something" is a example. If i want to exclude ".mp3" then i write ".mp3" (it's not rocket science). The thing is it worked before, just as now the pagination option works (before it did nothing).

Yes, I had a typo in the excludes line. I've fixed it and uploaded a corrected version. If you want to redownload it'll work for you.

Pagination has always worked. If it didn't work for you, it would have been a javascript conflict. Unless you're talking about just the modal generator or something.

Great to hear! I'm sorry for not being such a great explainer.
The pagination option just did not work until 1.9, after the update, it just appeared on the bottom of the table. So yeah, don't know what to say about that, sorry.

    EDIT:

    Fair enough.

For the record, nothing I did in this or any of the previous 7 or 8 updates would have affected the pagination side of things, so it was likely a javascript thing on the client side. All my php does is output the link to the javascript, which takes care of the pagination. So if it wasn't working, you must have had some conflict with something else. Anyway, thanks for the heads up about the exclude issue.

Glad to hear it. Let me know if you find any other bugs.

Well, now that you mention it, there is a old problem, but it's rear and random. Sometimes, the files appear with the size of 0 (zero). But it's rear so i don't really mind it, as long as it shows up in the list, it's ok :)

Are they really small files? It could be rounding down to the nearest kb?

Over 100MB minimum. Maybe it should re-read the file every once in awhile, so that the data is up to date, just saying.

Not much I can do about that, really. If it hiccups while it's scanning the directory, I can't really prevent that. And I don't think it's really worth it to send out an ajax request just to periodically update the file size.

It doesn't ALWAYS do it on files that large, right? Just rarely? If so, it's just something that comes with the territory. Getting the file size is one of the most basic php functions there is. So it can't really be an issue with the code. Just an issue with its execution on the particular server.

Just for say, the problem with the visual editor in firefox is a firefox bug. I made a new firefox profile and everything worked and looked fine.

    Info about firefox profiles: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
