Visual Editor way too wide

    My visual editor has recently become insanely wide, kind of like the style somehow broke. When I switch to the code view, the width is normal.

    Any ideas on what I can do to fix this? Right now editing via the visual editor is just a joke because of this insanely wide formatting.

    Have you edited any of the code in your /wp-includes folder?

    The controls for the visual editor are in a folder called tiny-mce, so if you accidentally changed something in there, that could be the result.

    A good idea might be to simply update to the latest version of WP (if you’re not already using it.)

    That way, the files would all be replaced and you should be sorted out.

    I’m quite sure I haven’t edited anything in my /wp-includes folder and I’m already using the latest version of WP (2.2.1).

    Should I try to re-load just the wp-includes directory?

    I actually re-uploaded my wp-includes folder and this resolved the problem.
