Hi,
Yesterday when I was creating user contributor and Author accounts, but when I logged it as them to test them, when i was writing in the Visual Editor, no Test was coming up and I didn't even see the mouse line cursor to show where I was. The only way to see the writing was when it was highlighted. Again there is only a problem on the Contributor and Author accounts, not admin. Please HELP!
Do you have any plugins installed that modify the TinyMCE editor or have you customized it yourself at all?

Not that I know of, I tried to use the solution to this, this way - http://turnipofpower.com/wordpress-2-8-visual-editor-fix/, but nothing changed. How can I find out if they have edited TinyMCE? Is there another solution?
Go to Settings>Users>All Users> Edit and review these settings comparatively.
Also, are you using a user manager type plugin or custom code?
And, I would refrain from using so called quick fix articles as they can be dated and/or even malicious. Refer to this forum or the codex. This site is indexed often by Google so topics appear in search results quickly. You can additionally use Google's search filters to find timely information.

Jacob,
I would try:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.
- renaming the plugins folder via FTP
- Reinstalling WordPress

I have found that it is theme related, how do I make the theme work for it?

I am having this same problem, but only on my laptop. The visual editor works just fine on two other computers and my phone. So this implies, to me, that it is not anything in my WP plugins per se. Any clues?
