   I never could see the default visual editor in WP 2.x :-(

   I had tried all the tips posted in all the forums, but nothing worked for me. Now I upgraded to WP 2.1 in the hope that I would finally could use the RichEditor but no... I still can't use it.

   I get the two "tabs" to switch between visual and normal editor, but actually it does nothing for me, since the visual editor never shows.

   Curiously, if I install a third party WYIWYG editor plugin, it works fine.

   Any ideas?

   Excuse me for lending your thread, but could you provide a link to the rich editor plugin you use? I don't get the rich editor either, but I used to have it pre 2.1.

   As grassor belatedly found, the best place to start is Users -> Your Profile and make sure the top option is checked.

   HandySolo, checking that option was the first thing I did. It didn't solve the problem.

   Playing "devils advocate" here: According to the thousands of complaints around here, that fact that you "never could see the default visual editor" is probably a blessing in disguise. I recommend you try Markdown Extra. You'll love it.
