Hi all i have been reading up on this as its not a unusal problem while, I have tried all the solution it is still stuck on html, here are the following of which i have tried:
-replacing the wp_admin and wp_inculde
-deactivating all plugins
-clearing my browser cache+cookies on my firefox 3.0.1
-clearing the sites cache
-installing TinyMCE Advanced
and am stuck could you please help asap?

Same here. It appears like the "visual" mode is active but the toolbar is missing (no bold, italics, link, buttons etc.). Nothing changes when I click on "html" either.

A simple tweak of the TinyMCE config file solved this problem for me.
