Visual Dashboard Components (3 posts)

When a registered user logs on to my site I would like to be able to control which components they see on their Dashboard.

For example, I would prefer they not see the "Right Now" component nor "Incoming Links" or "Feedstats" and would like to be able to remove these and only permit Quickpress, a link to their profile, a link to comments and posts they've made and, well, that's about it. This would change depending on user level.

It seems as if this should be an integral part of WordPress. Is it possible I'm missing something?

    Any advice will be appreciated.

Adminimize plugin or CMS Post Control are what you're looking for.

CMS Post Control has a new release that looks pretty interesting, but I haven't had a chance to use it since the update.
