I need to make backup from oldserver-dnsname/~accntname/wp-admin to enter old server (source server) WP-Backend, and make backup to put it on another (destination) server. but it redirects me to the current WP active dns installation (destination server WP-backend). which is my destination. I need to enter WP-ADMIN of my un-active host account. and make backup to restore on my active one. but i cant log-in to the back-end of the dns-un-active one via “oldserver-dnsname/~accntname/wp-admin” because it redirects me to the domain refferal websites backend (instead of source).
please help me if you got the point. i tried to explain it well.

  • I think I got it,basically, you’ve already updated your DNS settings to point to your new server, but you need to get into your old server to make a backup but is unable to do so because the domain is pointing to your new server? are you able to access the old server using its IP address?

Yes I can access to my old site using:
    [ip or dns]/[~accountname]
but when i start going to [/WP-Admin]
it points me to the new server location using the domain. and this way i cant ever go to the old server to make backups.
there is no way for me to do it, please help me, thanks.

you’ll have to change the old site’s URL to match the address of your old server, you should be able to log into your old site after that.
