Hi! I know someone will have this answer . . .I'm a new user and I'm sure I'm just missing something.

    - bought Web hosting - Go Daddy
    - activated my account
    - Installed WordPress
    - activated it
    -logged into my WordPress site
-installed a theme and adjusted some settings

But when I go to the top of my dashboard to my website name, and click on "visit website", it takes me to the "Future home of something quite cool page", and asks me to log in. When I click "Log in", it send me to a "Hosting Control Centre" Log in - which sends me to my Go Daddy control centre, with no direct path back to my WordPress site. When I navigate back to my WordPress site I get the same thing .. . .

I must be missing something - How do I get to my site?

    Thank you!!!

    Geoff

Remove or rename the index.html in your web root directory.

Wow Thanks! How would I have ever guessed?

As I said I'm a newbie - where do I find it? If I were to rename it - should I rename it something specific to make it point to somewhere?

In your web root directory, which is probably where WordPress is installed as well.

No you don't need to rename it to anything specific, it's just the placeholder page you're seeing. Just make sure it isn't named index.html or index.htm.
