I am trying to upload wp 3.3.1 directly to my client's cPanel public_html file. It wont' finish the installation and gives an error code indicating a virus has been detected (PUA.HTML.Infected.Webpage-1 FOUND)
I've scanned my computer and it comes up clean. This is also a brand new domain, brand new cPanel account.
Is the virus in the wordpress files??? I've deleted and redownloaded them 3 or 4 times just to be sure.
Help would greatly be appreciated!

A quick Google makes me think this is a "False Alarm" by what I assume is the anti-virus software on your web host. The last post on this page http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1083446 was especially helpful, as it seemed to indicate that Google Analytics was being mistaken for malware/virus, and how he got around it by moving the Google Analytics code.
If you want more help on this forum, please indicate two things:
- verify (i.e. - tell us) that the virus message was coming from your web host, not your home machine; and
- indicate who your web host is

If you are downloading wp from here, http://wordpress.org/download/ , it does not contain a virus.
