Hello,
I installed WordPress by using Bluehost's SimpleScripts. I have deleted the sample pages and published my own pages. I am using Safari.
The Problem: My published pages do not show up. When I type in http://www.elliotwalters.com, it shows a page that says "test."
I also cleared the cache on Safari, refreshed several times..to no avail.
After spending time searching the forums, I did not see anyone else have this problem, leading me to think this is a total newbie mistake. I apologize in advance if this a common knowledge type question and greatly appreciate any help

Hi, you have an html/php file that is giving that "test" result, also in http://www.elliotwalters.com/blog you have some website/files, clean your server(if you want to) and then reinstall wordpress or using an FTP find the place where wordpress was installed :)

Thank you for the response! However, I don't really know what your response "means". I tried googling/looking on the forums for a more "internet for dummies" interpretation of what you are advising me to do, but still don't understand. Could you please break it down into 'non-tech savvy' words?

Hi,
The browser outputs the result of a file, as computers, servers that hold your site have directories that are accesible like: domain_name.com/directory so you can have a site in: http://www.elliotwalters.com and another one in : http://www.elliotwalters.com/blog and so on.
To be able to view the directories that you have on your server you need to connect to it using an FTP Client that will give you access to the directories. At this point it seems that you don't have a wordpress site in http://www.elliotwalters.com and wordpress was installed in another directory. The thing is that at this point it will be a little bit hard to set up your website on your own without some reading about wordpress/websites.

Your site is currently looking like WordPress, and the wp-admin also pulls up. You might try contacting their support to see where your files are located or where that test page is pulling from.
