   My webhost website is not giving an accurate picture of number of users visiting my website.

   Can some body please tell me if WordPress has a tool or a widget that does this?

   Best would be the stats provided by ur hosting provider.

   alternatively you can consider google analytics. add the code in the footer page.

   Try a plugin, like WordPress.com stats or Google Analyticator.
