View Collection
-
The previous bugs / issues seem to have been fixed in the new version. I have successfully added a collection and metadata fields. I can see them and they function fairly well – a little clunky, but working nonetheless.
However, I cannot figure out how to actually VIEW the collection. Is there a shortcode or am I just missing the oh so obvious?
Really nice plug in and with a little more work could be something really nice and something that people would pay for a PRO version. It’s difficult to understand how to put this plug-in into practice.
Perhaps the author should do a walk-through tut – step by step on what to do first, second, etc. I just kept adding stuff and dragging fields until it finally worked…really having no clue what I was doing. The screenshots helps alot but I fear I’m missing a step or two and not being able to actually view the collection.
Thanks for your hard work!

Hi rhoeffner,
Thanks for the remarks and questions.
Meta-collections is probably more a developers plugin because you have to build a template around your collections in order to get the best out of the plugin. Although there is a shortcode feature. Just scroll down at http://wordpress.org/plugins/meta-collections/A suppose to Collections, they are in fact custom post types http://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Types, an integrated part of WordPress. This means that a Collection is just a specific collection of post extended with user defined metadata. So you can view a post in a collection at: http://your_domain_name/your_collection_name/your_post_slug/.
When i find some time i might record a screencapture with a short walktrough. Thanks for the inspiration.
