VideoPress plugin problem in Firefox 8.0.1

    I have a members-only, self-hosted website that uses VideoPress on WordPress.com. The VideoPress plugin was working properly on all browsers until recently. Now the plugin doesn’t connect to my WP.com account when I’m using Firefox. A login screen pops up when I click on the VideoPress media button, but it fails to connect and doesn’t provide any error messages. I had to replace all the video shortcodes with the embed code for each video.

    The VideoPress plugin & the generated shortcode are working properly with both Safari and Google Chrome.

    Does anyone know why? I wonder if it’s something about the latest Firefox. I’ve emptied the cache on Firefox and tried refreshing to no avail.
