Hey there, I have searched and searched so I hope this aint a dumb question and I'm wasting anyones time...

When I upload a video, I don't see the options for it (like I see on the WP tutorial, eg. size etc) and subsequently, when I click insert into post, it inserts it as a link.

    Any ideas?

    http://www.newfazeentertainment.com (if that helps)

    Thanks heaps

Thanks John I hope they have a good time. This isn't the solution I'm looking for though, I have a hosted account and I should be able to add videos right from WP from my own server but it won't let me. I'm not trying to embed them onto my site from another. Thanks anyway.

WordPress does not have any form of integrated player built into it like WordPress.com does.

However, WordPress.com's own video support is available for free: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpresscom-video-server/

It's not the easiest thing to integrate and use, because it's a complete solution including transcoding support and the player and everything else. So it's not as simple as a plugin or some such thing, because of all the back end setup that must be done.

However, it DOES include the player application that they use. With a relatively minor amount of effort, you could make that work on a blog without all the rest of the stuff.
