Hey! I'm trying to make this work, and I'm clueless. I have absolutely no idea of php. The thing is, i'm using this plugin (Sideblog by Kate) to show youtube videos on my sidebar, but they are just too big. How can I adpt them automatically to the style of the blog? The problem is that if I make them samller when posted, then on the search you'll se them small, and I don't want that to happen. I want to be able to post the video with the original code provided by youtube and that the sideblog plugin resizes it.
    Thnk you!

I'm not giving up on this topic:

I really want to have a plugin that, whenever i post a video on my blog, let’s say, hosted on dailymotion, using the code they provide me, it makes the video appears on my sidebar, without the needs for costumizing the size, that is to say, that the plugin would reduce the size itself so it fits on my sidebar. that’ll be an awesome tool.

since i can’t program myself, and i know nothing about php or any sort of programming language, that’s why i’m relying on all of you guys out there

does this helps you in any way? http://justintadlock.com/archives/2008/01/25/how-to-add-videos-to-your-wordpress-sidebar
