    Hello,

I am new to Word Press, and have been uploading Themes, posting and such fine without any problems. However when I try to embed a You Tube video and press save, the code simply dissapears without saving and then redirects me back to my site. Can anyone help? I have tried un-installing and installing Word Press again but nothing seems to work.

Are you entering the code using the rich-text editor? I find that I have to disable the rich text editor and not switch back and forth in a session. Sometimes when you do it seems to dump the scripts.

    Hello,

Well in actually in fact I have realised that for some reason it is not letting me enter any HTML at all.

Also yes I have tried switching between the code and the visual section and the same thing happens.

Another problem, it also will not accept text that has been copied and pasted either!

Just to be clear, go into your admin panel, and in the top right, click "my profile". On this page, you should uncheck the "use visual editor" box.

This will use "code-mode" for your write post editor. Then try pasting html in again.

When you say, "it is not letting me enter any HTML at all", do you mean that it erases it after you save it, or it just won't ever paste in?

And, an obvious question to me, but worth asking: are you sure that your post window is expanded enough? It may be pasting below where you can see it. Does the scrollbar appear at all?

Sorry, I know those are pretty beginner questions, but worth asking before we tear the car apart. :-)
