Video Converter Suggestions?

    Hello – New to WP and trying to learn as I go. I have some avi files that are pretty large that I want to display on my site and was told to convert them to mp4 to reduce the file size.

    Searching for conversion software brings up so many options that I haven’t a clue what to look for. Free or paid, not that important but I would like to reduce the file size to something usable yet maintain the quality as much as possible.

    Anyone have a suggestion or experience with a good product?
