Very new to wordpress, could use some guidence

I kinda only half know what im doing and keep completely stuffing things up. I want to change/make a themed layout for my site, as well as have the side bar with a few of the widgets. I want to re colour everything and have pages with different content on them other than my blog. like i said, i kind of half know what im doing but keep getting lost along the way, if anyone knows of any easy to follow tutorials that would be great, and anyone willing to lend a helping hand would be even better 😀
