Very important question about BWP XML sitemaps

So i recently switched from google XML sitemaps to BWP XML sitemap. Only one problem, i dont know if im supposed to submit each individual sitemap in the index to google because submitting sitemapindex.xml retirns errors. So do i submit post.xl, site.xml. audio.xml etc… Please help!! Thank you.
