WP Original Media Path
Very good idea, but totally screws up my site (4 posts)

This is a very good idea for a plugin. I duly installed this as it was just what I needed.

Unfortunately, it totally screws up the menu structure of my site, and the formatting is all over the place. My responsive pages lose their width and so the text and images are everywhere.

I'd be happy to email you images of what happens, as I'd really like to use this plugin once this bug is ironed out.

    Hello JulianHadlow,

I do not understand the problem correctly.
The plug-in does not change the display of your images, just change the address to display images.

Can you post a link to your WebSite to see the problem?

    Hello,

Here are links that show what my front page should look like, and after installing the plugin.

No other plugins were installed at the same time.

I double checked by installing the plugin three times, and each time my site was messed up.

Each time I had to restore from a backup, as removing the plugin did nothing.

    OK,

The plugin helps you to change the path to your uploads directory of your installation.

Try to uninstall the plugin completely, according to the FAQ: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-original-media-path/faq/

Then install the latest version 1.1.0.

Normally with version 1.1.0 the plugin does just show the fields in the media page.

Then, change the fields you need.

To understand some malfunctions, I invite you to open the console of your browser and inspector look at the 404 errors.

By consolidating its information, you should usually identify the problem.
