• Hi admin,

I am currently building a website with my own custom theme. I have used WordPress Menus to create a nav menu on my own. The submenus are being generated as I can see them in the HTML source file of the webpage. But, I do not know how to display the submenus as vertical dropdowns on hovering over the main menu items. Please help me out in the css I need to add to make them work.

Alternatively I tried using Shailan dropdown menu plugin. Now I can get the submenus on hover, but they are generated as Horizontal rather than vertical dropdown.

Please provide me some insight onto how I go about achieving this.

    Thank you,

  • Menu CSS is kind of tricky — I’d suggest looking at the CSS code in twentyeleven (or another theme with drop-downs that you like) and transferring/customizing the CSS to your site (with whatever modifications you need, depending on your classes, etc.)
