   I am having the same problem after upgrading to WordPress 3.3.1.

   There are no editing icon available in the visual mode, so I cannot edit both pages & posts in visual mode. I can edit post & pages using the HTML code. The HTML code is also appearing in the visual edit mode.

   You can see it when you highlight the text.See attached The password testpage123.

   The HTML editor is working ok and the page displays correctly in the browser.

   I have tested to ensure that it is not theme related by temporarily switching to the default WordPress theme and clearing the cache. However this does not fix the problem.

   I have also tested plugins by deactivating and reactivating them individually. However, this does not solve the problem.

   My conclusion is that there is a bug in WordPress 3.3.1 base code.

   Could you please investigate and advise

   Success at last!

   The problem is the removing the cache in the browser. I found that IE did not have a problem but Google Chrome and Firefox had the above problem.

   I have fixed the problem by installing the plugin Google Libraries version 1.2 http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/use-google-libraries/ This plugin forces the cache to be cleared.

   Once you install and activate open your page/post in edit mode. Both the visual editor and HTML mode should now work.

   Hi,
   Thanks, it's true, Google Libraries version 1.2 fix the problem with text but I still have a problem to add image to the post. I mean no problem to add it but it doesn't appear at the site! Could anybody help me with this one?

   Thanks, with Google Libraries version 1.2 everything is fine.

   Thanks, that worked for me. After a lot of head scratching, I found this post and it fixed it straight away, good work for sharing the fix.
