I think it was the size of the plugin. I just went through it and removed unnecessary files. The result is wpStoreCart 3.0.9. Let me know if resolves your issue. Thanks.

Just tried it… No dice. I’m still getting the File Not Found error when trying to download from WP directly.

    Thanks for looking into it!

    Thanks for the quick response.

Something weird is going on with WordPress’ servers. Stuff like this has happened before apparently:
    http://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/15138
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/image-widget-download-failed-not-found?replies=11

I’ll try whipping up a quick 3.0.10 release to see if that nudges the WordPress SVN server to process the plugin correctly.

In the meantime, you can download the latest version of wpStoreCart from this working link:
    http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wpstorecart.zip

    1. Download wpStoreCart zip file: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wpstorecart.zip

    2. Extract the “wpstorecart” folder from the zip file you downloaded, to your desktop.

    3. Use a FTP program to connect to your webhost and change directories to the /wp-content/plugins/ folder inside your WordPress installation folder. If you do not have an FTP program, we recommend the free and open source Filezilla for Windows. http://filezilla-project.org/download.php

    4. Click and drag the entire “wpstorecart” folder from your desktop, into the /wp-content/plugins/ folder in your FTP application. Not all applications support drag and drop, so you may need to upload the “wpstorecart” folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory another way. Consult your FTP programs documentation for details on uploading folders.

    Thanks for the download link.

I was able to download it and installed the update manually. WP still complains that I don’t have the latest version (3.0.6 instead of 3.0.9), but I’m not too concerned about that since I assume you sent me to the most updated version. 🙂

Anyways, thanks and hope you figure out the WP SVN server weirdness soon. Good luck!

I’m talking with the WordPress Plugin team (very helpful crew!) and they’ve given me some advice on how to fix it. I’m trying their advice now, and will update this thread if the advice resolves the issue. Thanks everyone for your patience.

    Still broken.
I don’t have the things necessary to be able to follow the instructions above so I’m just hosed until this gets fixed.
BTW, my installation has other problems that I have asked about but receive no response.
    ================================================================

The update process is starting. This process may take a while on some hosts, so please be patient.

I’ve been in contact with the WordPress Plugin team. It’s out of my hands now as they look into the problem. They’ve asked me to stop making releases until they can examine the issue. I will continue to update this thread as the situation is resolved.

In the meantime, you can use this wpStoreCart.com link to always get the latest version:

Mark, I see an email from you in my inbox. I’ll reply to that momentarily.

Problem is finally solved. The problem was the readme.txt file was missing the License tag. Adding that restored the zip file. Please update to 3.0.12 which includes numerous fixes since 3.0.6
