version 1.0 – busted?

I was using version 0.4.8 mostly successfully. I downloaded 1.0 and nothing worked – I try the edit button, nothing happens, Save button nothing happens, no configuration window, and no display of any kind. I’ve reverted to 0.4.8, but now it’s displaying a minimum of 20 images instead of the 2 that I keep entering in the widget. Nothing seems to affect that, though all other configurable settings are working fine. Help?
