Verify Registration Workflow

    This plugin solves a number of problems for me and I am trying to get past the last few.

    The target workflow is to have users register, enforce email verification, but not enforce Admin Verification and have users transition from an role of “unverified” to “customer” in an automated fashion if all goes well.

    In my testing, a user can register, receive verify, verify successfully and receive the New User email, but the user role is never changed from “unverified” to “customer”. I do notice that Verification Sent entry goes blank when I refresh Unverified Users view.

    Question:
    1. Is auto transition from role of “unverified” to “customer” supported functionality if Admin Verification is off?
    2. If so (and I think it is), where do I start troubleshooting?

    I am finding out now that I cannot even manually approve unverified test accounts. Any idea how i can address this? Thanks, SS

    So I cannot approve from the Unverified User user interface, however I can change roles in the Edit User interface. This seems to be an issue with Register Plus Redux Plugin. Appreciate any feedback. SS

    My default role was set to “unverified” in general settings which explains why role never moved on to “customer”.

    I really appreciate the hard work put into developing this plugin.

    CDadmin1, so that was the problem, the default user role was unverified, so even if you had users verify it just changed them to that “bad” role effectively doing… nothing, without your intervention?
