   Hi all,

   I am trying to verify my site with Google, who wants me to place meta code in my home page -- I am using wordpress 2.8.4 with K2 theme. "home" is not part of my php files, and I have made several attempts to make this successful, all placing the meta in header tag, before body tag(per Google's instructions):
   -- placed meta in the header.php
   --placed meta in footer.php
   --placed meta in index.php
   --installed Google Integration WP plugin, then placed meta back in header.php

   No luck!!!
   Can anyone help me with this? I appreciate all advice :)

   the meta code should go in the theme's header.php before the <title> tag.

   google also gives you the option to upload a blank .html file, also, don't they? just open notepad and save a blank file as whatever google tells you to and upload it
