Venues not migrating with name

I could use some help. I have read all the docs and followed the migrating instructions, but can not get it to work.

I am upgrading a site that was using v 1.6.5 to 3.2 and venues were filled out, but after upgrading the the plugin, the Venues did not carry over their respected names, but replaced with “unnamed venue”

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Also, is it possible to strip out category from the URL

instead of: /events/category/the_category/

have it: /events/the_category/
