Hi folks, I am interested in the real world experience of people using vBulletin. the makers are now offering an entire CMS with membership integration, but I'd have to switch out of WP and be in proprietary environment. Not my ideal.
But for high traffic sites, vB Forum has been recommended to us by research and other users. My question is about integration into a WordPress site. I can't find much in search about this. 3 main issues:
1. I want to be able to maintain the design theme of our site with vB. Is that possible with WP templates or do we need to design a template specifically for the vB area?
2. Can you, or how can you, link within the WP pages' menu to the vB area of the website? I'm using permalinks right now and I had trouble trying to use SMF in the same root folder as WP because the menu links would rewrite and I couldn't get a direct link.
3. How reliable and easy is it to integrate memberships in the forum to overall WP site memberships and privileges?

Posted 1 year ago #I know there is a bridge, but it was written for vB 3.8 and v.4 is now the standard.
