• Using the latest Woocommerce (2.1.11) and PHP version 5.5

Woocommerce suddenly is not allowing me to save any product variation options at all. I can’t drag and drop the variations in the order I want on the product edit page, and checking “Enable” for a product does nothing – after saving the product, the variable reverts back to having Enabled unchecked. I tried bulk toggling all Enabled to be checked, but that doesn’t do anything either.

    Some more info:

    – I do not have more variations than what I started out with. The site sells t-shirts and so has a few color options (red, green, black, grey, etc.) and size options from Small up to 6x. I am only working with the amount of variations I had to begin with, but all of a sudden none of these variations are saving or have Enabled unchecked by default
    – I’ve found that I can make changes to the variations by only making one change at a time and then saving the product. This is absolutely frustrating and not how I would use this plugin at all. We have a lot of products up now and I can’t just throw out this plugin completely and start from scratch, or have this one-at-a-time method be the norm from now on.
    – I updated the WordPress memory setting in wp-config to 96MB but it’s not having an effect. The site is hosted on a standard Godaddy shared account and we really can’t afford to spring for a VPS at this time, unless we are sure that it’s memory issues that are the reason for this recent error.

I have a similar problem it started 2 months ago, after adding alot of new variations/products.

    – When i add variations and have more then about 30-50, it starts to randomly not save changes i make.
    – pictures get deleted, after adding new ones.
    – variation get deleted
    – it’s also happened that it would not save the SEO
    – it randomly unchecks enabled

    * Note: Most of the times it changes the variations back to it’s default.

    * Note: so far this only happens when there’s alot of variations.

If anyone knows the cause of these problems please contact me.

The problem may be related to the version of PHP being used on the server where your site is hosted, or whether FastCGI is turned on or off (I can’t recall which, since I happened across this fix months ago and clean forgot to update this thread). Our site is hosted on a VPS so it’s easy for us to update that info – if your site’s hosting environment allows you to update PHP, you should try that, or at least see if your hosting provider can provide that update for you. Good luck!

    Howdy guys,

This article may be useful for troubleshooting the issue you’re having: http://docs.woothemes.com/document/problems-with-large-amounts-of-data-not-saving-variations-rates-etc/

    Hope that helps.
