Variable width templates (3 posts)

I would like to be able to change the fix width template I am using to a variable width so it fills up all of my 1280 x 1024 screen, instead of jsut 770 pixels in the middle. Then of course, I want it to resize automatically down to fix those who use lower resolutions. I know it's probably fairly easy to do, but I don't know how!

    Any pointers gratefully received..
I've jsut started using WordPress, so thought this would be a good time to tinker about with it

Considering how much of the default theme is designed around the idea of being a fixed-width design, I think you'd be better served looking for an existing "re-sizable" theme and modify that to your tastes. A list of themes for 1.5 can be found here:

Fujiyama is an ems based template which resizes with the font size, and Maximus is a full width template with a RH menu. Both are freely available with a tasteful range of style sheets at http://thebombsite.com/Layouts/124
