Hi there,
The subscribers aren’t actually disappearing, it is a display issue that we are having with showing the right counts. However, if you download the CSV of subscribers from the page with the list, that number will be correct. If you still see discrepancies on Monday, let me know.
Hello, I’m also experiencing the same issue. I had 800 something followers and when I downloaded the new WP version (3.6.1) this dropped to 600 suddenly. 🙁
my blog is http://sweetjellybean.com
Hi, the number has nothing to do withupdating WordPress, as I mentioned, it’s an issue with how we were counting and displaying the number of subscribers only. If your list still doesn’t seem to be accurate, please let me know.

Hey—Just a quick FYI that my subscriber numbers are still incorrect.
Hi Richard,
Thanks for the reply, my numbers is still incorrect.
MRayma,
I see 2629 subscribers listed in the downloaded CSV, and 2503 email subscribers in the displayed list, for a difference of 126 in the list of subscribers displayed. You get new subscribers every day; let’s see what the number is tomorrow, to have a different point of reference to compare with. Please remind me tomorrow to check.

Richard—If that is true, that still means I had a day when I lost over 100 subscribers, which would be highly out of the ordinary and very unlikely.
Mrayma: no, you didn’t lose the subscribers, unless you had more than 2629 email subscribers before. As I mentioned previously, it is an issue with how the number of subscribers is counted and displayed, not with the actual subscribers themselves. Did you have more than 2629 before?

I did, but that total included my WordPress subscribers as well, so that is likely where the discrepancy comes from.
MRayma, in case you didn’t know I now have a sticky thread that I’ll be updating with info soon:
