Vanished sidebar

    My blog lost its sidebar about a week ago for no apparent reason and I cannot get it back. I was using sidebar widgets for some time before it vanished. My visitors can´t access anything except my main page. When the blog loads, it says “done, with errors on the page”. I just switched hosts, figuring that it would be resolved, but it isn´t. Any ideas on how I can fix this major problem? I´m rapidly losing visitors because of this!

    Hey, I saw your sidebar is there – right side of your website. Is that what you talking about?

    Yes, I´ve tried on three different computers and it doesn´t appear! Any thoughts on why I can´t see it?

    Oh wait – Your website’s sidebar is working fine in the Firefox. but it is not working / vanish in IE.

    That’s the problem with a lot of WP theme, you may want to consider do some search and find a new theme that compatible with both plantform.

    thats the problem.

    its not a theme problem, per se, it rarely is — until someone edits the theme and churns out garbage, or installs plugins that churn out garbage, or posts from word, which churns out garbage.

    whats with all the <p></p>‘s in your posts? are you pasting from word?

    HI Whooami,

    I have been trying to get the sidebar back on my blog for weeks now and your the closest one that I have found to be understanding the problem. Can you please check my site out and tell me if you can give a suggestion why it is playing up on IE but working on firefox?

    It was working for a while then we played around with the sidebar include plugin and it dissappeared in IE from then. I have tried uploading the old files but it still does come back up. ALso tried disabling that sidebar include plugin and still no luck. MAn it is so frustrating. Any chances of a hand would be greatly appreciated.

    you are right, whooami, I spent half the night trying different templates to no avail and even downloaded FireFox. This validator looks useful, although the number of errors is intimidating. Thanks for the help.

    I can´t see the code in my posts, I thought I had fixed it all. Originally I was pasting from Word, but I switched to Notepad which isn´t supposed to give those errors.

    Nope, you were right. I was pasting from Wordpad, not Notepad. Now that I have redone my posts, the sidebar is back and no more errors. Thank you very much for your help.
