Are you manually entering any tags ?
Hi,
None at all for <?php the_content(); ?>
Thanks
Karl
Hi there and thanks for the reply Gravity.
The problem is I am not using additional tags on the page for the content.
I am a little confused here. I do use a class for my dates and timings, but that does not appear to trouble the <?php the_content(); ?> tag.
I'm lost but thanks anyway :)
Karl
Not it's not you. I have the same problem with 1.3 adding extra tags.
I've got it too, not on all posts though. I'm running yesterday's nightly build, I tried deactivating all plugins but to no avail.
The backticks don't work for me. The code tag does but I find that if I use it more than once in a post it breaks. For instance if I have a bit of code then I have some plain text then another bit of code, the 1st bit of code will show the closing code tag, and the 2nd bit of code will show the opening code tag. Has anyone encountered this? Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong? My code examples have ; and @ symbols if that makes any difference. Any suggestions about what I could do as a workaround?
thanks,
Donna
sorry I accidentally posted to the wrong thread.
I don't use either of those and my posts are still wrapped in an extra paragraph tag, there's no white space before the posts and I never use tags at the beginning of a post.
Hey Guys,
For me after countelss hours :) I found out that it was the plugin 'Condensed Content for Date and Category Archives' from http://manalang.com/archives/2004/06/20/wordpress-plugin-condensed-content-for-date-and-category-archives
Once I deactivated that all worked.
I had a look at the info for this plugin and it says this:
'0.93 Surround content with tags to maintain CSS formatting for many sites where formatting is applied to the tag.
Any way to fix this?

Nice one Guv'
I really like the plugin so thanks for the ammendment :)
Karl
Well, guys, next time you're asking for help, help yourself with a little testing prior to anything else.
Deactivate ALL plugins and try again before psoting here ;)
I thought I had :-)
Sorry, I was talking about trouble with the tag: --more...-- to link to the rest of a post. .
