just talked to my isp after my server went down three days in a row due to memory. my server package is bigger than i need and the isp said some script is eating a lot of memory. they think it could be a plugin(s) i am using. anyone have any experience with this issue ?

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one and monitor your memory usage until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    Hi,

Try to add this code in htaccess of your blog/domain:

    php_value memory_limit 32M

    Thanks,

    Shane G.

shane, what happens. if a plugin in fact is a memory hog does the plugin crash ? is there anything else that can happen ? i will pass this by my isp and see if 32m is the optimum limit.

my isp thinks the code idea is a good one. they told me how to monitor the server for errors and can probably pinpoint the culprit.

regarding the size of the limiter, the right size will become apparent over time.
