[resolved] UTW Re-Tag Posts Extention with WP 2.1 (5 posts)

Has anyone here ever used the "UTW Re-Tag Posts Extention" (yes, that's how it's spelled) from "Flying Sparks" for re-tagging posts with UTW tags (works with the UTW plugin)? Makes tagging a heck of a lot easier.

The reason I ask is that I've used this plugin right through WP 2.0.7 and sadly, it won't function with WP 2.1. Most likely due to the revamped WP 2.1 handles post ID's etc. Unfortunately I don't know enough code to successfully find the problem and I can't manage to get a response from the author.

If anyone has used this plugin before and may have found a way to get it to function correctly with WP 2.1 or have found a similar type of plugin (I haven't) I'd appreciate any info at all. I'd like to change from a category system to a tagging system on my blog but I simply don't have the time to sort and re-tag all my previous posts using just UTW and the post editor. The above plugin cut the time by 2/3rds at least.

    Thanks

If your tags disappear from editing a comment, then you need to get the latest version of UTW. This was fixed in UTW.

Here's the link for the latest version:

This version should have fixed the disappearing tag problem when a comment was moderated or caught in Akismet's spam queue. I couldn't read the entire version of UTW that you had found so I hope this helps. It's the one I'm currently using.
