• Hi,

I need a little guidance regarding correct use of the plugin when building pages within a theme, in my case the X theme from Themeco.

I’m using the picturefill method, and the latest version of the plugin. Elsewhere you’ve stated that you shouldn’t use the WordPress “full size” image directly. I’m not sure how this applies to adding media to pages using Visual Composer, as in this case the standard WordPress image size options are not available?

What I’ve been doing is uploading images at 2x tailored to the content in question, and assuming that WP Retina does the rest. Is this the correct approach or is there a “best-practice” way of doing this that would be better?

Apologies if this sounds like a dumb question, I’m just getting my head around it!

Many thanks – great plugin by the way.

Hello! I feel like you are doing it the right way, however I have no idea what is that “Visual Composer”.

Since it is a commercial solution and they said that it is Retina ready, why don’t you ask them? They should really provide an answer… I would be also interested to know what they say 🙂

Many thanks for your reply Jordy.

If you use the X theme, Visual Composer is built in. I think that’s the theme you use? It looks like you have image sizes for the X stacks (Integrity, Renew etc.) built in to the plugin, right?

Actually not 🙂 For my websites, I create my own themes (totorotimes.com, haikyo.org) or I use the standard ones (blog.meow.fr).
